Cholsey Comedy Club returned to a sell-out crowd on Saturday night. Robert White (runner-up at BGT in 2018) headlined, delighting the audience with his clever storytelling through both songs and jokes inviting us into his autistic world. He was supported by the brilliantly-funny James Cook and Meryl O’Rouke as they had the audience hooked with tales of family life and relationships. We were in safe hands as James Redmond, a talented MC, engaged the audience and whipped up the excitement.
“Cholsey Great Hall is a perfect comedy venue. My favourite this time was James Cook who slowed the pace and delivered punch line after punch line without a flicker of a smile. His six siblings all named like him after kings – Edward, George, Henry, William and Kong! Not to mention his sister Burger! Cheap beer. A perfect night out.” – Nick Shanagher
Cholsey Comedy Club returns on 9 March 24 with another unmissable line-up. Ignacio Lopez is headlining, a Spanish-Welsh comedian not shy when it comes to taking the piss out of the British! Alistair Barrie and Michael Fabbri are supporting him. It promises to be another sell-out and tickets are now available online - they would make the perfect Christmas present!
